HIPAA Privacy and Security Compliance Statement

Metro Recovery Center (MRC) is fully committed to complying with the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), as well as all applicable federal and state laws governing the privacy and security of protected health information (PHI).

MRC maintains strict policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PHI. Access to PHI is restricted to authorized personnel for purposes of treatment, payment, and healthcare operations. Administrative, physical, and technical safeguards are implemented and maintained to protect PHI against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

Individuals receiving services at MRC have the following rights:

• The right to access and obtain copies of their health information.
• The right to request amendments to their health information.
• The right to request an accounting of disclosures.

Complaints
